Kelsea Chatburn is a Toronto-based watercolour artist, known for her vibrant paintings of Los Angeles and Asian street food markets. Drawing inspiration from her personal travels and childhood in the California desert, Chatburn’s work delivers a sense of happiness in the form of appreciation for cultural details of a subject. Kelsea's paintings offer a diverse exploration of shapes and colours that are associated with fond memories of travel.

This original work depicts a typical afternoon on the streets of Brentwood in Los Angeles — light beaming through the trees, Spanish-inspired architecture, and well-kept succulent gardens. It encapsulates life's simple (and intricate) pleasures.
