Anna-May Moir

Anna-May is an Australian artist, mother, and teacher based on the Central Coast of NSW. With a degree in visual communications and secondary teaching, she is self-taught painter who has spent nearly a decade as a creative arts educator while balancing her own creative practice and raising her young
family.

Her work is predominantly abstract and expressionistic, drawing inspiration
from the physical and psychological landscapes that have shaped her journey
and identity. Anna-May blends traditional and unconventional materials to create rich, textural layers, often working with soft, muted palettes that evoke a sense of introspection, memory and personal growth. She is particularly drawn to the visual articulation of motherhood and the
evolution of a woman as she becomes a mother.

Since sharing her work publicly in 2020, Anna-May has exhibited in numerous
group shows and was commissioned to create a body of work for the North
Gosford Private Maternity Ward.

Anna-May's artwork has been featured in various arts and lifestyle publications, including Vogue Living.
