Azulejo Studio is the realization of Elya Brandao’s artistic vision. Originally from France and now based in Montreal, Elya’s artistic practice intertwines art and design, allowing material to become a language of its own in which control and chance intersect seamlessly. 

Through textured surfaces and sculptural reliefs, Elya Brandao explores the interactions between light and form. Her work is inspired by contemporary architecture, minimalist design,and the dialogue between raw and refined materials. Particular attention is given to textures
and finishes, sometimes metallic, allowing light to become an integral part of each composition.

Conceived as statement pieces, Elya’s work offers an ever-evolving visual experience shaped by light, perspective, and perception. Her creations invite curiosity, encouraging viewers to look closer, explore the details, and question how material can take shape and seemingly defy gravity on canvas.
