The Charlie, West Hollywood

A contemporary condiminium building, outfitted with premium amenities, and artful shared spaces.

Through our collaboration with Transition State Design, Tacit curated an art collection comprised of various hero moments throughout the entire building. An impactful lobby installation, and various mixed media gallery walls throughout the space made for a luxurious living concept to resonate with prospective residents.

The Result —

Elevated Interiors

Amongst the vibrant streets of West Hollywood, California, it was important for the art collection to reflect the refined clientele and potential residents of The Charlie. Through a sophisticated interior, amplified by an intentional art collection, The Charlie evokes an air of laid back elegance — the type of place you want to live in.

Mixed Media Moments

Through the incorporation of two different gallery walls throughout the space, Transition State was keen on incorporating texture through a mixed media curation. We incorporated ceramics, oil on canvas, collage, and print editions finished in custom frames, such as burl wood, brass, oak, and beyond.

Site-Specific Significance

The entryway had to be a captivating focal point for optimal impact. We commissioned contemporary artist Victoria Sequeira to create this mixed media acrylic on canvas piece, incorporating three-dimensional thread elements. The work added pops of color, conveying a slight retro feel to complement the materials used within the space.
