Renske Herder / Shade II
Renske Herder / Shade II
Renske Herder is a multidisciplinary artist and designer born in The Netherlands and based in the Caribbean. Renske’s body of work features mixed media artworks — still life photographs become embellished via her paintbrush. Equal parts serene and eclectic, Renske’s work fuels our inspiration and offers a feeling of repose. Our curator recommends this work in our natural frame to accentuate the organic beauty of the work.
We seek shade on hot summer days. We seek shade for a pitstop on a long walk. We seek shade as coveted picnic real estate. Or sometimes, we seek shade to escape, to enjoy a moment of solitude. This piece can take on different forms of those feelings — whatever this imagery brings up for you.
