Renske Herder / Afternoon at the Lake

$2,815

Renske Herder is a multidisciplinary artist and designer from the Netherlands.

Her practice centers around vibrant, figurative paintings that celebrate moments of quiet connection, daily rituals, and a slow and peaceful way of living. Renske’s compositions balance narrative and abstraction, with whimsical details like a flying bird or patterned tablecloth, evoking folk art traditions through a contemporary lens.

Renske received her master's degree in Industrial Design Engineering and honed her skills working in the field of surface design and product styling. Her graphic roots are clearly visible as almost every canvas explores the combination of figuration, abstract textiles, and quilting patterns.
