Katie Butler / And If Your Mind Begins to Wander

$70

Katie Butler is a visual artist living and working out of her home in Toronto, Canada. Katie works mainly with acrylics to create colourful and moody figurative paintings. Katie uses her art as a means for storytelling  depicting scenes where the subject becomes the character of a larger narrative, often through the expressive nature of the human form.

We're all dancers at heart, wouldn't you say? Whether you grew up in the dance studio, or you've resorted to using your kitchen counter as a stage in your adult life, dancing is a natural movement for all of us. The level of detail in this piece only magnifies the endorphins we reap from said movement. Our favourite part is the detail in the foreground, juxtaposed with the impressionistic style of the background. It's *chef's kiss*... er, dancer's kiss, if that's a thing.
