Kelsea Chatburn / Oysters

$70

Kelsea Chatburn is a Toronto-based watercolour artist, known for her vibrant paintings of Los Angeles and Asian street food markets. Drawing inspiration from her personal travels and childhood in the California desert, Chatburn’s work delivers a sense of happiness in the form of appreciation for cultural details of a subject. Kelsea's paintings offer a diverse exploration of shapes and colours that are associated with fond memories of travel.

Regardless of what Kelsea chooses to create, it somehow always feels nostalgic. She does an inimitable job at capturing our favourite moments — many of these moments seem to be universally cherished, yet have a unique meaning to each of us. A Parisian scene scape, an homage to our favourite foods, or a walk amongst New York City's brownstones. You get a pocket of the artist's inspiration, yet you can interpret it in your own way — the best of both worlds.
