Midtown

This stately Georgian home in midtown is rich with history — filled with heirloom antiques, inherited furniture, and storied art passed down through generations. Our goal was to thoughtfully layer in contemporary works that could bring balance and a fresh energy to the space. The curated collection introduced subtle vibrancy and modern texture, creating a dialogue between past and present. The result is a timeless yet dynamic home that feels both rooted and renewed.

The Result —

Rooted & Renewed

The space felt both new and nostalgic — anchored by the family's existing collection, which provided a meaningful foundation to build upon. Each contemporary piece was chosen to echo the sentiment and soul of what came before, while introducing a fresh, modern perspective.

A Deliberate Trio

We selected a vignette of three artworks, each in a different medium—mixed media on silk, raw canvas, and a limited edition print—to create visual interest through material contrast. The variation in texture and form offered a dynamic focal point while complementing the room’s existing palette. By opting for an asymmetrical trio, we avoided a formulaic arrangement and instead introduced a sense of movement and layered storytelling.

Texture on Tone

To enliven the home's primarily neutral palette, we introduced artworks that infused thoughtful bursts of color and rich, tactile texture. These additions brought depth and warmth to the interiors, subtly transforming each room without overwhelming its original character.
