Margot Sinclair is a California-born, Michigan-raised, NYC-based contemporary artist. Her practice involves mixed media across oil, acrylic, graphite, and thread. Through this combination of mediums, Margot is able to create palpable texture in each of her works — while neutral in palette, they are still able to add depth and dimension to a space.

Margot's highly coveted practice has captured global attention through her distinct, interpretive style. Each piece is intentional and sophisticated, yet playful. This sought-after series of Margot's depicts a collection of abstract maps. This piece in particular is inspired by the journey and juxtaposition between Charles de Gaulle, Paris to Vienna International Airport. Every stroke, mark, and thread has intention and meaning, but unlike typical maps, interpretation is up to the viewer. Signed on verso.
