FAQ

Can I see the sizes beside one another?

Absolutely — please see a full breakdown of sizing details here.

Why collect from Tacit?

Tacit was created in response to the disparity between men and women artists — where women artists account for a mere 2% of the art sold. When you collect from Tacit, you are directly supporting a female artist. In addition, the majority of the pieces in our collection are exclusive, meaning you won’t find the same artwork anywhere else. This exclusivity plays into the overall value of the work. By purchasing through Tacit, you’re uplifting female artists, bringing daily inspiration into your life, and supporting the future of the arts.

When will my new artwork arrive?

Though we cannot guarantee specific shipment dates until an order has been placed, artworks typically ship within 5 - 10 business days.

As soon as your piece has shipped out, you will receive a tracking number and you can always reach out to us with any questions by emailing info@tacitcollective.com. If you would like to expedite your order or shipping, please contact us.

How much does shipping cost?

We offer complimentary worldwide shipping — with the exception of large-scale custom and/or commercial orders. For international orders, shipping rates are calculated by the size of the package, and shipped via FedEx. We are based in Toronto, Canada and also offer a pickup from our West End studio. Please feel free to reach out to info@tacitcollective.com for any specific shipping and handling questions.

Can I change my shipping address?

If your order has not yet been shipped, you can update your shipping address. Additional shipping charges may occur. We are unable to redirect orders once they have been dispatched. Once marked as "delivered" by carrier tracking, we are not responsible for the package. Please ensure the correct address is entered at time of order.

Does Tacit ship internationally?

Yes! Please outline all address details at checkout.

Will I incur international customs and duties?

Please note that once your order arrives in the country of destination, local guidelines apply and your order may be subject to import taxes and local duties. These taxes and duties are not included in your purchase price and are the responsibility of the customer.

Do you ship to PO Boxes?

We are unable to ship to PO boxes for liability and insurance reasons. Please provide your full daytime delivery address as well as a contact phone number to ensure smooth delivery.

My package is lost, what should I do?

If your package is lost in transit, please email us right away at info@tacitcollective.com and we will try our best to resolve the issue.

What is your return policy?

We are dedicated to providing our collectors with accurate descriptions and visuals of the artwork featured on our site. However, if you are displeased with your acquisition please email us at info@tacitcollective.com. We’ll gladly offer you a store credit within 10 days of receipt of the artwork. Custom framed pieces and originals will have a 20% processing fee.

How do I know that the artwork is authentic?

Each artwork is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the founder of Tacit. As a collector, it's important to hold onto your COA as it will help with the future value of the work — adding provenance and context around your acquisition of the piece.

Why should I get my print framed from Tacit?

We partner with a fellow female-led business to professionally frame our artworks. Our solid wood frames are crafted locally from high-quality Italian wood. Plus, frames serve to protect your artwork and — in our humble opinion — make the artwork look perfectly polished and ready to display.

What is an original artwork?

An original work is a completely unique piece of artwork. Mediums typically include: oil, acrylic, watercolor, etching, or pencil. If there is an original work that you love that is no longer available for sale, please email info@tacitcollective.com and we can discuss a potential commission for a new original work with the artist on your behalf.

What is a limited edition print?

A limited edition is a fixed number of identical prints. When a limited edition is sold out, it is no longer available. A limited edition print has more value than an open edition or open run print because the availability and scarcity of each work is controlled.

What is an open edition print?

Open edition prints may be endlessly reproduced. An open edition print is often priced lower and valued lower than a limited edition print because there is an unlimited amount of availability.
