Silvija Kicivoj was born in Zagreb, and now lives and works in Düsseldorf.

At a young age, she was looking for ways to express herself through drawing, painting, writing, and photography. What served as a kind of therapy at an early age developed into a passion over the years and takes up more and more real and mental space.

Her works today are based on introspection and understanding how her interpersonal relationships impact her environment, emotions, and actions. She brings her thoughts to the canvas with the help of textures, shapes and different materials under the aesthetic influences of everyday life. The works reflect personal struggles, insights, the urge for change and balance.
