Emma Enright / Coastal
Emma Enright is a textile designer and artist based in Hamilton, Ontario. Her practice investigates the materiality of textiles with a specific emphasis on weaving. Embodying traditional weaving techniques, she creates contemporary handwoven artwork for interior spaces.
She received her Bachelor of Design, with a major in Textiles, from Ontario College of Art and Design University in Toronto. Working across several types of looms, she combines traditional weaving methods with a contemporary design approach to create tactile, sculptural works inspired by the textures and rhythms of the natural world.
Emma has completed custom commissions for CBOE Canada, the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, and Nobu Hotel Toronto, where her work is featured throughout the hotel's curated interiors. She regularly collaborates with interior designers, art consultants, and private collectors to create bespoke woven artworks tailored to the scale, aesthetic, and vision of each project.
