Rebecca Enjolie / Oyster
One of the pieces featured in our capsule collection with the AGO - Art Gallery of Ontario. Originally a still life oil painting, reinterpreted in print form, while still yielding the same level of texture and dimension as the original. Our curator recommends pairing this with two other still life works from the artist’s collection - perfect for a kitchen or just about any room. By Ottawa-based artist, Rebecca Enjolie.
The oyster — a favourite food to many, an aphrodisiac, a symbol of little luxuries. We love the impressionistic, yet realistic style of this piece. Perhaps as an addition to the kitchen, or above the bar cart (we love a martini/oyster moment). Whatever significance oysters have to you, this piece appropriates that meaning.
