Rachel Joanis
Rachel Joanis is a contemporary artist and illustrator based in Toronto.
As a female artist, she understands the importance of representation, and the significance of seeing yourself reflected in art and media. The majority of her work focuses around women, and promoting different ethnicities and body types, to help further inclusivity and promote equal representation.
Daniella Williams
Rooted in classical figurative painting, Daniella's work examines ideas around voyeurism, and the act of looking. The artist's journey emerged from her questions of her own identity and role as a young woman in a culture fixated on the practice of consuming images. The vulnerable experience of being perceived and viewed in different capacities felt like a dynamic worth exploring which is pertinent throughout her body of work.
Marie Alexander
Marie Alexander is a visual artist based in Texas. She developed a love for the arts at a young age growing up in Los Angeles, California. She is recognized for her muted/neutral palettes, minimal aesthetic, and celebration of all things femininity.
Sabetha Mamokete Phetla
Sabetha is a self-taught artist from Limpopo, South Africa.
Like many artists, Phetla’s artistic journey began in childhood through drawing and observing the world around her. Later in life, this curiosity toward creativity would lead to her discovery of different mediums of fine art.
Nicole Young
Nicole Young is an artist based on the traditional, unceded and occupied territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations (Vancouver, BC.).
Working in the confluence of visual arts, environmentalism and storytelling, Nicole’s works are as much science experiments as they are conversations on ways to approach climate justice. She creates her own pigments and dyes out of natural and often wild foraged materials including plant matter and minerals as a way to deepen her connection with the land.
