Presenting After You: The Broken Telephone Collection
When:
Opening Night: March 6, 5 - 7pm
March 7 & 8: 11am - 5pm
Where:
2104 Dundas Street West, Toronto
What:
This collection brings together ten women artists in an effort to demonstrate how the creative practice is iterative. Over a year in the making, the collection began with one artist working from a reference photograph; each subsequent artist creates a piece inspired by the one before her, and so on, and so forth. All creatives can relate to this process — we're nothing without the artists who have preceded us, the ideas that have shaped culture, or the lineage that serves as both a boundary and a blueprint. What someone creates is thereby not a copy of one, but a collage of many.
And for the first time, you can see this concept come to life — our annual International Women's Day exhibit debuts Friday, March 6, 2026. In our own space, After You: The Broken Telephone collection unveils.
