Heavily influenced by psychology and the exploration of the mind, Marcia’s intention is to create pieces that will allow the viewer to experience a moment of ease. Marcia maintains a studio with Akin Collective at Auto BLDG in the MOCA. In this series, Personal Space, the ambiguity of the figure and of the background are meant to suggest the experience of getting to know someone. Despite entering another’s personal space, much of what makes up that human will remain unknown. By Toronto-based artist, Marcia Bianchi.
